Family

Jackson 5 Group

In 1964, Michael and Marlon joined a band formed by their father, the Jackson Brothers, which included brothers Jackie, Tito, and Jermaine as a backup musician but in the year 1965, the group name changed as Jackson 5. The Jackson 5 group performed in clubs, cocktail lounges, local auditoriums, and high school dances. August 1967, on touring the East coast, this group won a weekly amateur night concert at “Apollo Theater” in Harlem.

The Jackson 5 recorded so many songs, ‘Big Boy’ (first single), ‘I Want You Back’ 1969, ‘ABC’ 1970, ‘The Love You Save’ 1970, and ‘ I’ll Be There ‘ 1970. The last four ones were at #1on the Billboard Hot 100. Between the years 1972 and 1975, Michael Jackson released his four solo albums with Motown: Got to Be There (1972), Ben (1972), Music & Me (1973), and Forever, Michael (1975).
Michal’s performance of the song “Dancing Machine” on an episode of Soul Train popularized as robot dance. In June 1975, the Jackson 5 signed with Epic Records and renamed themselves as the Jacksons.

The Jacksons and Off the well Journey

After changing their group name, The Jacksons continued their tour internationally and released six more albums between the years 1976 and 1984. Michael was the group’s lead songwriter during this time and wrote popular hits as “Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)” (1979), “This Place Hotel” (1980), and “Can You Feel It” (1980). Jackson’s work in the film industry began in the year 1978 when Michal moved to New York City. Michal established as a solo performer by Jackson’s fifth solo album, Off the Wall (1979), which was co-produced by Jackson and Jones. Off the Wall was the first Jackson’s solo album to generate four singles “Off the Wall”, “She’s Out of My Life”, “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” and “Rock with You” were in the top 10 hits in the United States, album sold over 20 million copies worldwide and reached number three on the Billboard 200.
Michal won Billboard Year-End awards (“Top Black Artist and Top Black Album), a Grammy Award ( Best Male R&B Vocal Performance ), 3 awards at the American Music Awards (Favorite Soul/R&B Album, Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist, and Favorite Soul/R&B Single ) for his single “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough”.

Thriller

After that Michal’s sixth album Thriller, released in late 1982 and Jackson got 7 more Grammy awards, 8 American Music Awards in his side. It was the best selling album of all time to the worldwide as well as in the United States, sold over 66 million copies. The album was in the top of Billboard 200 charts for the 37 weeks and in the top 10 of 200 for 80 consecutive weeks. Thriller was the first album, had seven Billboard Hot 100 top 10 singles, including singles “Beat It”, “Billie Jean”, and “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin”. A documentary film “The Making of Michael Jackson’s Thriller” sold over 350,000 copies in a few months.

Debut of Moonwalk

 March 25, 1983, Jackson reunited with his brothers at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium for Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever, an NBC television special. which was aired on May 16, 1983, with an estimated audience of around 47 million. It was the best remembered for Michal’s solo performance of “Billie Jean”, which earned Jackson his first Emmy nomination. where he was wearing a distinctive black jacket and a white golf glove which was decorated with rhinestones and then Michal debuted his signature dance move, the moonwalk.

The New York Times wrote about Michal Jackson– “In the world of pop music, there is Michael Jackson and there is everybody else”.

Changing Appearance

Jackson’s skin was a medium-brown color throughout his younger age later it gradually grew paler. This was partly due to vitiligo (a skin condition – patches on the skin cause of losing their pigment) due to skin bleaching and changing of his skin to appear white. Michal was making his nose smaller around the same time when dealing with his skin. Michal’s physical changes were widespread in media and criticism from the public. He was diagnosed with discoid lupus. In treating this condition, He was taking hydroxychloroquine injection directly into his scalp regularly. He was also using Solaquin, Retin A and Benoquin plus he has to avoid sun exposure ever.
During this period Michal’s face was getting much changed. He has done tons of surgeries like six nose surgery, three Rhinoplasties, Created Dimples, forehead lift surgery, cheekbone surgery, and lips surgery.
